A look behind the scenes - Art Garden Hotels Setup
From April to November, the Art Garden Hotels exhibition will take place for the first time in the gardens of the Garden Hotels Switzerland. Over 100 works by 30 renowned artists will be presented in the 21 hotels.
Among others, Käppeli AG supports us with the transport and professional installation of the artworks. While most of the setup work has already been completed, the mountain locations will follow at the beginning of May, as soon as the snowmelt allows.

A particularly striking work is "Red Line in a Landscape" by Christopher T. Hunziker at the Auberge aux 4 Vents in Granges-Paccot near Fribourg. The 24-meter-long needle was assembled on site, then erected and anchored.

In the nature park at the Grandhotel Giessbach in Brienz, Karin Brenn's work "Cow with Farmer's Wife" was installed with the help of a crane. Karin Brenn created the life-sized sculptures with great craftsmanship and artistic flair.

Art is also present in the park of Schloss Wartegg : Christoph Rihs' "Ghost Tree" hovers just above the ground in a small forest clearing, creating an exciting interplay of light and shadow.

At the Parkhotel Brenscino in Brissago, Veronika Dierauer's "Float Away" was installed. The 1,700-kilogram marble work required the use of a large crane. Join us on May 15, 2026, for a guided tour of the hotel's botanical park with head gardener Martin Russenberger and artists Veronika Dierauer and Adrian Künzi. They will provide insights into the sculptures exhibited in the hotel park. → More information

At Arenenberg are several works by the artist Ivo Soldini on display. The colorful sculptures were transported from Ticino to the canton of Thurgau and blend seamlessly into the surroundings there.

The Art Garden Hotels exhibition invites you to discover art in the context of garden landscapes and hotel parks, and to gain new perspectives on familiar locations. An overview of the various events can be found here.
