Twister
Where life ends, movement begins – a transition that unfolds between transience and infinite transformation.
At the location where the sculpture first stood in 2023, a 45-year-old spruce tree died within two weeks. It likely could no longer withstand the changes in climate and environment. The sculpture, built from spruce planks, illustrates a way in which life, grown from the earth, dissolves and, like a tornado, will ascend into the infinity of the universe, absorbing ever more energy as it rotates.
