Adrian Bütikofer's artwork «Trinity a Mystery» approaches one of the central and at the same time most enigmatic concepts of Christian theology: the Trinity. It draws upon the intellectual foundations of the Church Fathers, who, over centuries, strived to understand the Trinity and documented their insights in writings.
Simultaneously, the piece alludes to the ineffable, which defies any conclusive explanation. It is precisely in this tension between theological order and open mystery that a space emerges, allowing for personal interpretations. «Trinity a Mystery» invites us to understand spirituality not merely as a traditional concept, but as an individual, living experience.
