On October 1, 2022, we celebrate World Vegetarian Day together – and showcase Swiss vegetables in the best possible light!
Delicious vegetarian cuisine
With the 'Swisstainable Veggie Day' campaign, we are collectively making a statement for more sustainable gastronomy. It's all about local vegetables – healthy, delicious, and good for the climate. The restaurants of Garten Hotels Schweiz are also creating diverse and creative vegetarian dishes for you on this occasion.
Arenenberg, Salenstein
Chef Roland Höhener's team is already busy planning and preparing their two special veggie menus. They harvest the produce directly from their own estate or source it from Thurgau producers. 'Seasonal, regional – always fresh' is their motto for sustainable gastronomy.

Romantik Hotel Bären, Dürrenroth
Regionality, seasonality, and a dash of creativity and modernity should be deliciously palpable for guests, making their stay at the 'Bären' a culinary experience. Chefs Marcel Grossenbacher and Eric Beddig are as committed to tradition as they are to the region, and they know that good things are often close at hand. They therefore gladly make use of the countless delicious products from the village and its immediate surroundings in their sustainable gastronomy.

Parkhotel Brenscino, Brissago
Ristorante Al Fresco stands for fresh and regional products, which the kitchen team prepares with great care and sophistication. For vegetarians, there is a good selection of dishes on the menu all year round. However, the team has come up with something very special for Swisstainable Veggie Day. Let us surprise you!

Schloss Wartegg, Rorschacherberg
From its own castle and ProSpecieRara variety garden, where herbs, vegetables, berries, and flowers are grown, the Bio-Restaurant Wartegg will conjure up a specially created evening menu for you on October 1. For the restaurant kitchen, 'organic' doesn't just mean a certificate, but meaningful enjoyment from nature. And the 2500 m2 biodynamic garden fully enables this meaningful enjoyment.

Schloss Hünigen, Konolfingen
At Schloss Hünigen, there's already a lot of sizzling, tasting, experimenting, and preparing going on for the planned menus for World Vegetarian Day. On Saturday, October 1, only vegetarian dishes will be offered in the restaurant and castle bar of Schloss Hünigen. Are you also excited to see what delicious dishes the kitchen crew will serve us?

Kartause Ittingen
The vegetarian Ittingen menu is still being refined to bring the best of the season from the estate's own gardens and fields to the plate – creatively and freshly – on October 1st. The demand for original, vegetarian food is high and continuously increasing. Vegetarian and vegan eating is more popular than ever. The kitchen team at Kartause Ittingen supports this positive trend all year round with healthy, seasonal, creative, and carefully prepared dishes.
