This autumn, Gault&Millau and Michelin, two of the world's most renowned restaurant guides, will publish their new ratings. Several Garten Hotels restaurants are also set to receive an award in 2025.
Gault&Millau rates restaurants on a scale of 1 to 20 points, with 20 being the highest score. The ratings are based on criteria such as ingredient quality, dish creativity, technique, and service. Each year, Gault&Millau publishes a new guide highlighting Switzerland's best restaurants.
In contrast, Michelin awards outstanding restaurants with a star rating of one to three stars. This is only awarded to restaurants that excel in all evaluation criteria, such as product quality, culinary artistry, taste, innovation, value for money, and consistency of performance. The Green Star highlights restaurants that have impressed the inspectors with their dedicated vision for future-oriented gastronomy.
