Sculptor Renata Schalcher works extensively with metal and radiant mirrors. For decades, the foundation of her work has been Japanese calligraphy as a meditative painting practice. Her brushstrokes flow into freehand drawings with ink, graphite, and charcoal, and continue into the design of her sculptures.
