maboart is an artistic collaboration between Ursula Bohren and Claudio Magoni. At the core of their work is a dialogical approach.
maboart has been working as an artistic duo since 1998. Ursula Bohren and Claudio Magoni share an understanding of art as an open process. Their practice is interdisciplinary, combining visual arts, conceptual work, poetry, and contemporary witness accounts. Their works are site-specific and respond sensitively to their respective contexts. Recurring themes include memory, change, belonging, and vulnerability. Their starting points are research, biographical traces, and societal narratives. The work process remains visible. Fragmentary and unfinished elements are deliberately embraced. Here, art is understood as a means to make complex experiences tangible and to open spaces for reflection.
