Gianin Conrad is an installation artist and sculptor whose work combines sculpture, space, and performance, exploring fundamental questions about form, space, and perception.
Born in Chur, Gianin Conrad lives and works in Zurich, Chur, and Domat/Ems. He is a trained stone sculptor and studied fine arts in Zurich, Berlin, and Lucerne. His practice encompasses sculpture, installation, and performance. Recurring themes include space, form, and their negative. The void is understood as an active element. Conrad is interested in the possibilities of contemporary sculpture and its relationship to the site. His works are material-driven and respond to architectural and spatial situations.
