Hotel Lindenhof, Brienz
On the shores of Lake Brienz, Hotel Lindenhof offers views of the Bernese Alps. This Swiss chalet hotel is nestled in a fairytale park.
Lindenhof is situated directly on Lake Brienz, offering views of the water and mountains. The garden, spanning approximately 13,000 square meters, has evolved over decades from a functional garden into a unique experiential space. Until the 1950s, female gardeners were trained here. Today, cozy nooks and open spaces invite guests to linger. A spice and herb garden is part of the property and is connected to the kitchen. Nature not only shapes the outdoor areas; the rooms are also largely designed with wood, reflecting the alpine surroundings.
In this verdant setting, an artwork by Sonja Riemer is presented. The artist focuses on painting and sculpture. She developed her artistic approach autodidactically and deepened it through studies and exhibitions. The artwork is part of her 'Hope' series and is dedicated to silence as a conscious counter-movement to acceleration and overstimulation.
