Inspiring vernissages in the gardens of Garten Hotels Switzerland
Inspiring encounters, engaging conversations, and striking works of art set within unique garden landscapes: over the past few weeks, numerous Garten Hotels hosted vernissages for the inaugural edition of Art Garten Hotels. Together with the artists, the hotels, and many guests, the exhibitions were ceremoniously opened at various locations, offering a special glimpse into the connection between art, nature, and hospitality.
The kick-off was marked by the two official opening celebrations at the Hôtel Bon Rivage in La Tour-de-Peilz and Schloss Hünigen in Konolfingen, before the vernissages at the individual Garten Hotels brought the project to life across Switzerland.
Many artists were present in person to guide visitors through their work, sparking inspiring encounters and fascinating discussions about art, materials, and the stories behind the sculptures. These vernissages highlighted how diverse the artworks and settings are, and how this very diversity creates a harmonious overall experience.

Whether it was the impressive sculptures by Marcel Bernet, the poetic works of Christoph Rihs, the signature pieces by Etienne Krähenbühl, the expressive sculptures of Ivo Soldini, the delicate installations by Susan Kopp, the striking woodwork of Steff Lüthi, or the impressive works of Adrian Künzi – each vernissage had its own unique character, showcasing the diverse ways art and gardens can intertwine.

The high turnout and positive feedback show that the Art Garten Hotels concept is a hit. The exhibition invites you to rediscover gardens and experience art in the open air.

More than 100 works of art by 30 Swiss artists can be discovered in the gardens of the 21 Garten Hotels until the end of November. Many hotels are offering additional guided tours, workshops, and events throughout this period, so a visit is well worth it even after the vernissage.
