The striking contrast between large and small is characteristic of many works by the sculptor Steff Lüthi.

Born in Eastern Switzerland in 1955, Steff Lüthi lives and works in Ticino and Tuscany. He studied sculpture in Milan and Kassel. Since the early 1980s, he has developed an independent sculptural practice. In his works, small, finely modeled figures meet monumental structures. These constellations explore questions of existence, scale, and transience. Humanity appears vulnerable yet present in space. Lüthi's sculptures emerge from a concentrated engagement with form, material, and meaning, entering into a quiet dialogue with their surroundings.
