Pius Morger works with sound and space. His practice combines sculptural forms with composed sounds, creating sensory experiential spaces between perception, movement, and resonance.
Pius Morger was born in Zurich in 1957 and lives and works in the Zurich Oberland. His artistic career began in film, where he worked with image, editing, and sound for many years. Since the mid-1990s, sound has been central to his practice. Morger develops sound spaces, sound sculptures, and spatial installations. Sculptural elements and composed sounds intertwine, shaping the perception of the space. His works often emerge in relation to architecture, movement, or exhibition contexts. Sound is understood as a material that shapes and makes spaces experiential.
