Max Roth's monolithic wooden sculptures explore various spaces, forms, and their perception.
Max Roth was born in Bern in 1954 and lives and works in Uettligen near Bern. He has been working as a freelance sculptor since the 1980s. His sculptures are crafted from a single piece of wood. The void plays a central role in his work; he understands it not as an absence, but as a form-giving element. The works reference archetypal vessels and simple geometric structures. Inner and outer spaces intertwine, creating rhythmic transitions. Roth's approach is minimalist and material-focused. His sculptures invite viewers to rethink space and perception.

Eingebettet in die eindrucksvolle Berglandschaft von Davos lädt die Schatzalp am 30. Mai 2026 zu einer besonderen Gartenvernissage ein, die Kunst und Natur auf harmonische Weise vereint. Bei einem herrlichen Apéro ab 15:30 Uhr begrüssen wir Sie gemeinsam mit dem Künstler Max Roth und dem Kurator Lorenzo Metzler, Sohn von Kurt Laurenz Metzler (1941-2024).
