GAMelle works with metal and various objects. In his artistic practice, found materials and their unique histories play a central role.
Born in Bern in 1966, GAMelle has been working as a freelance artist since 1994. His studio is located in a former hammer forge near Bern. His work originates from found and collected metal objects. Machines, tools, and fragments from another era form the material for his object art and installations. The artist saves these items from disappearing and gives them a new purpose. This results in works that bridge the past and present, remaining open to various interpretations.
