March brings the feeling of spring. The fresh aroma of sprouting greenery and various fragrant plants awaits us in the hotel's own park.
Past and Hidden
The Hotel Promenade building was originally constructed in 1902 as a residence for the Grand Ducal Baden Customs Administration. In the early 20th century, the extensive garden was designed according to plans by Evariste Mertens, a Swiss landscape architect of Belgian origin. Even today, elements from that era can still be found in the 2,500 m2 park oasis.

Scent of Spring and Bare Feet
After a 9-minute walk from Schaffhausen train station, you'll find yourself in front of the tranquil hotel, nestled in lush greenery. Among numerous idyllic seating areas and cozy spots, you'll also discover a barefoot path filled with natural materials like pine cones, stones, logs, and moss, as well as a small Kneipp facility. Feel free to take off your shoes and socks and experience firsthand the diverse and unusual sensations on your bare feet.

Garden Magic and Picnic Aperitif
Explore the Promenade Park with a garden stroll and a picnic basket in hand. The arrangement includes the following services:
A filled picnic basket, a 4-course dinner amidst greenery, an overnight stay in a comfort double room with garden view, and a generous breakfast buffet, served on the garden terrace when the weather is fine.

Urban and Authentic
With its charming old town and idyllic location directly on the Rhine, Schaffhausen is undoubtedly one of Switzerland's most charming cities. Those looking to relax in nature after strolling, exploring, and shopping will find what they're looking for around the Hotel Promenade. The 120-year-old grotto, hidden among old trees, the spring awakening with 2,000 tulips, the subsequent burst of color in the azalea and rhododendron beds, and the lush rose blooming season with 40,000 – 50,000 blossoms, offer plenty of space to recharge, linger, and relax.
