The Villa Novecento garden is special in many ways – almost a rarity for a centrally located city hotel. Just a 5-minute walk from the train station, you'll feel transported to another place: birdsong instead of car noise, vibrant colors instead of grey asphalt, the scent of flowers instead of exhaust fumes. The Swiss Heritage Society even considers the over 100-year-old Villa Novecento in Locarno to be one of Switzerland's 100 most beautiful hotels!
A delightfully sweet fragrance
In the western part of the garden, various rose species bloom around the rose pavilion starting in May. A beautiful eye-catcher – an experience for all senses – and a feast for the bees too!

New Breakfast Treat and Lasting Memory
The cherry tree, which provided shade and sweet fruit for many years, had to be felled due to illness. Rolf Hürzeler transformed it into a sculpture featuring local animals, which also serves as seating. A magnificent mulberry tree, whose fruits, along with the pergola's grapes, provide another treat for the breakfast buffet, was planted as a worthy replacement.

Cozy Nooks
The enchanting, wild-romantic garden is lovingly and devotedly cared for by the hosts. Around the organic hotel, many cozy green spots invite you to relax, linger, and read, including a pergola, a rose pavilion, and a gnarled olive tree.

Committed to Sustainability
All food products come from organic production and fair trade with long-standing and trusted regional partners. Only environmentally friendly, biodegradable products are used for cleaning, and no pesticides, insecticides, or artificial fertilizers are used for garden maintenance. For over 12 years, the Villa Novecento's house and garden have been committed to the principle of sustainability – and that's by conviction.
